The Netherlands

The Kingdom of the Netherlands was formed in 1815. A modern, industrialized nation, the Netherlands is also a large exporter of agricultural products. The country was a founding member of NATO and the EC, and participated in the introduction of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) in 1999.

The Netherlands, also known as Holland, borders the North Sea on the north and west, Germany on the east, and Belgium on the south. With Belgium and Luxembourg, the Netherlands forms the BENELUX countries.

The Netherlands is easy to travel, the locals are friendly and speak excellent English.
