Noord-Brabant
Noord-Brabant borders Belgium in the south and Germany in the east. The province has a most varied landschape and offers many choices of outdoor activities and attractions, such as the amusement park, the Efteling. The capital is 's-Hertogenbosch, and other known cities are Eindhoven, Tilburg and Breda. Vincent van Gogh was born in the village of Nuenen.
Highlights In the region:

  • The Efteling
    Amusement park, where you walk into a wonderland with a fairytale forest and various thrill rides. The Efteling has received many international awards.
  • Beekse Bergen
    Safari park where wild animals are roaming the plains. The Beekse Bergen also offers an artificial skiing village and a play area for watersports and general recreation.
  • Land van Ooit
    Theme park, called 'Never Ever Land', offers a true dreamworld for children, though adults may find themselves dreaming as well.
  • Nuenen, the village of Vincent van Gogh
  • Breda
    Beautiful historic city situated in Noord-Brabant near the Belgium border and famous for its tower of the Great Church which dominates the skyline of Breda.

  • Tilburg
    Tilburg is a modern industrial city located in Noord-Brabant, offering a lot of cultural activities. Until the 1960s, Tilburg was the textile capital of the Netherlands. All over the city, there are buildings that bear silent witness to that past. In the vicinity of Tilburg, there are several theme parks.

  • Textile Museum
  • Eindhoven
    A young dynamic city with a modern appearance offering a traditional Brabant welcome. Its youthful appearance betrays the fact that Eindhoven is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. Eindhoven differs from ordinary towns in many ways. It is a town that has to be discovered to truly appreciate it. Spaciously planned, internationally oriented, young and alive with activity.

  • Prehistoric open air Museum
    An iron-age settlement from 'de Kempen' a region in Noord-Brabant. Walking through the museum you imagine yourself in pre-history (from 750 till 50 BC)
  • Van Abbe Museum
  • 's-Hertogenbosch
    Beautiful historic city with the magnificent St Jan Cathedral, dating back to 1220. Enjoy a boat trip on the Binnendieze canal, which flows partly underneath the city.
